The
Living Gospel features
the life of Jesus as told by the four Evangelists.
The Gospels here have been combined and divided
in 11 interactive chapters that range from
the Annunciation to the Ascension.
Chapter
Introduction. Each chapter
begins by displaying a few lines of simple
written text accompanied by read-along narration
and background music. In the middle of this
narration, a cloud-like display pops up and
plays an animated sequence that shows the story
in action. This introduction lasts about 1
minute, and reinforces learning through reading,
listening, and visual storytelling.
Chapter
Event. Once the chapter's story
has been introduced, the text and cloud-like
displays disappear. The main characters appear
on screen, and after a brief animation sequence
where the gospel characters speak and act out
the story, they "freeze" on the screen.
Interactive
Journey. Now you
are ready to start your interactive journey.
As you move the cursor across the screen, the
pointer will change from an arrow to a hand in
some places. This means that if you click on
those places (called "hot spots"),
you will trigger an action. This "click-and-play" interaction
will lead you through an exciting journey of
discovery and will take you deeper and deeper
into the story.
Much
more. Switch languages,
change colors, help Jesus and the disciples feed
the crowds in the "Loaves & Fishes" interactive
game, use the talking dictionary,
learn the meaning of strange words and interesting
facts about biblical people, things, and events,
make music, and much, much more!
